In 2004 Joe became a founding principal of Apartment Management Group (AMG). From 2006 to 2008 during the “over-heated” multifamily real estate market, AMG sold 1,200 apartments positioning the company for new investment opportunities. As Chief Manager for AMG, Joe works closely with the COO, staff, and property owners to align marketing and management goals individually to each asset for maximum results.
Before his appointment as Chief Manager/CEO for AMG, Joe was Senior Vice President for Loeb Properties with responsibility for 2 million square feet of retail, office and industrial space and 1,500 apartments in five communities. Under his direction, the acquisition and disposition team purchased and sold 500,000 square feet of retail, office and industrial properties from 2000 through 2008. Prior to joining Loeb Properties in 1998, Joe had worked for thirteen years with Ledic Management Group as a regional director overseeing the operations of 12,000 apartments.
With thirty plus years of property management experience, Joe has completed over $40 million of renovation and new construction projects. His experience also includes representing foreign and national real estate investors in property management and renovation projects. As a long time Memphian, Joe brings to clients an understanding of the broad market and cultural influences that is necessary for successful local management.
Joe holds a BS in business from the University of Memphis with a major in real estate and is a licensed Real Estate Broker. He is on the board of directors with the Memphis Leadership Foundation, which is a local nonprofit agency developing future leaders for the community.
